After Djokovic won his 18th Grand Slam it dawned on me that I hadn’t watched a single game of the entire Australian Open tournament. I used to love tennis, both watching and playing, but recently I’ve had zero interest. Between them, Djokovic, Federer, and Nadal have won 58 Grand Slams. There are only four slams a year, which means that they have hoovered 14 and a bit years of slams between them. Their domination, along with the domination of Serena Williams in women’s tennis (23 Grand Slams) means that tennis is almost always predictable.

So, did these incredible athletes destroy tennis or take it to new levels? Or is it a bit of both?
